Long before Peg Morgan became a philanthropist, she was a fashion designer. As a young woman, she sketched fashion illustrations. A sweeping evening gown with puffed sleeves and a pink neckline. She signed them with: Peg Clark, 1940.

Burt and Peg traveled widely, and here on the promenade at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, she stands in a green hooded romper she designed and made herself.

It is no coincidence that Peg’s would one day endow a chair and fund scholarships at Kent State University’s Fashion School. She knew what it meant to see the world through a designer’s eye. She wanted to make sure others had that chance too.
