In the early days of the Foundation, Peg Morgan attended every board meeting. She would sit quietly, listen carefully, and take notes while the board deliberated.
During one meeting, the board was debating over a grant. The ask was modest, and the discussion had gone on for some time. Board member Bill Fellows turned to Peg and asked what she thought.
She stopped writing. Looked up. And said two words….
Think Bigger!
The room understood immediately that it was not just guidance for that moment, but for everything that followed.
A directive to resist the safe choice, pursue the bold idea, and never underestimate what is possible when you commit fully to the work.
Peg only needed to say it once. The Foundation has been living it ever since.
